History of Fish Creek
Fried was Fish Creek’s specialty until 2008 when Joe Lane took over. The endearing-but-subpar fried fish restaurant needed some TLC—new logo, new menu items, new kitchen, new décor, new ownership. And that’s exactly what it got.
With a new image and an affordable-but-exceptional menu, Joe hoped to keep the previous owners’ regulars coming back while expanding his culinary reach into other cities and counties, putting Willow Park on the food map.
Two years later, Joe and the Fish Creek team are going strong, serving up some of the best seafood in Texas, along with one incredible Happy Hour.
Lane, a Fort Worth native, grew up with a passion for the restaurant industry and culinary arts, holding almost every position in the business, garnering valuable knowledge along the way.
Lane has since brought success to a building known for failure. Fish Creek sits in the former home of several failed restaurants, but a new energy has taken over. Lane’s passion for his customers, attention to culinary detail and better-than-ever menu selections make Fish Creek one of the top seafood restaurants in Texas.
“We believe in our menu so much that we want our neighbors in the Metroplex and beyond to come try our seafood, Cajun and Southwestern selections,” Joe said. “People should be able to have exceptional seafood wherever they are. In Willow Park, you no longer need to be on vacation at the coast to experience fine seafood dining.”
